The central clearing house enables individuals, companies and institutions to reproduce government material, with prior written approval from the government.

The Québec government owns the copyright in all published or unpublished paper or electronic material it produces and the information disseminated on the Websites of departments and public bodies. The statutes and regulations it enacts are also copyright-protected.
